Looking Back at 2025 with Gratitude

My Year of Divine Alignment has come and gone, and looking back on it fills my heart with deep joy and gratitude 🙏🏾

2025 was truly one of my better years. It met me with meaningful challenges and gifted me with beautiful memories in equal measure. I’ve developed a personal New Year ritual—one that begins with reflection before intention-setting. Just as I did in My 2024 Reflections, I believe it’s important to first honour where I’ve been before declaring where I’m going 🙌🏾

In keeping with this tradition, below is a reflection on my journey of pursuing the first four intentions I set for 2025. I invite you to walk this journey with me as I reflect honestly and openly…

Deepen self-awareness and strengthen my relationship with self.

After 32 years on this earth, I’ve finally come to fully appreciate the importance of knowing, understanding, and respecting myself—first and foremost. To support this intention, I spent much more time in solitude, introspection, and reflection 🧘🏾‍♀️

Attending therapy and actively engaging with the exercises further deepened this process. This is a journey I intend to continue for the rest of my life, with a commitment to never losing sight of myself again 🥰

Adopt a disciplined approach to eating and achieve a 10kg weight loss.

This is one intention I did not achieve. Instead, I found myself practising disorganised eating habits and gaining weight. While disappointing, this experience offered an important lesson—it revealed my need for a more systematic and compassionate approach to discipline, one that allows for structure and flexibility 🤗

I carry this intention forward into the new year, committed to working towards it with greater awareness and intention 🥗

Build muscle through jogging, yoga, and bodyweight exercises.

I made a promising start towards this goal and felt encouraged by the progress I initially achieved. However, consistency proved to be my biggest challenge 🙃

In the year ahead, my focus is on building consistency and integrating physical movement into my daily routine—not as a task, but as a lifestyle practice 🏋🏾‍♀️

Invest ina and nurture meaningful relationships with family and friends.

One of the clearest lessons I’ve learned about myself is that my relationships and community truly make my world go round. Because of this, I believe it’s essential for me to invest generously and intentionally in the people who pour into my life ❤️‍🔥

I made significant progress toward this intention, and I look forward to strengthening it even further in the year ahead. The second half of my 2025 reflections will follow in my next blogpost. Until then, I’d love to know:
