Can you believe it’s already February 2025? Time truly flies when you’re immersed in life’s journey!
I hope your year has started wonderfully. Before diving into this post, I recommend reading its prequel, My 2024 Reflections, for better context.
As I mentioned earlier, January is my month for reflection, prayer, meditation, and setting intentions for the new year. Here are the final three intentions I set for 2024:
4. Achieve Financial Independence
I am deeply grateful to have been born into a family united by marriage, with parents who were prepared and passionate about raising me. Their hard work and determination ensured I never lacked anything, providing all my needs.
Understanding this, I realise their efforts were an investment in my future. As an adult, it’s up to me to provide a fitting return on investment (ROI) by achieving full independence in all aspects of my life.
This journey is ongoing. My new role as a Fashion Design lecturer complements my entrepreneurial endeavours at UP_PHELELE, guiding me toward financial independence.
5. Attend Church and Practice Daily Self-Care
After the accident, I stopped attending church, as discussed in The Retired Church Girl. This break made me realise how much belonging to a Christian community enriched my life.
Last year, for the first time since 2014, I felt open to and trusting of the parish I fellowship with, officially identifying as part of them.
6. Heal My Relationships with Family and Friends
As we grow, the nature of our relationships evolves. The saying goes, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder,” which also highlights our priorities.
In my younger years, I would feel hurt by a friend’s changed attitude or Blue Ticks & Cancelled Dates.
Turning 30 made me realise that what is truly meant for me will never leave me. I’ve focused on maintaining contact and showing up for those who reciprocate and care for it.
Reflecting on 2024, I see it was a wonderful time. I’m grateful, even for life’s curveballs, because they constantly train me to Know Better, Do Better.
I’ve set my intentions for this year, declaring it as My Year of Divine Alignment✨
How are you feeling about 2025?
Do you have any expectations for it?
Have you set your goals or intentions for the year?
Yours (but mine first),
