My Testimony

If you’ve been following my blog, you’re likely familiar with parts of my testimony. Today, I want to share it again, with the hope that it strengthens your faith and deepens your belief in God’s limitless power.

First, I want to honour and greet the entire church, the body of Christ, in unity and love. My testimony is a testament to God’s sovereignty and His unwavering ability to uphold His people, no matter the circumstances.

I remember vividly the early months after I decided to commit my life to God. I often prayed to be a living testimony of His goodness. In 2014, God answered that prayer in a way I could never have imagined. That year, my mother, Ruby Phuti Chonco, and I were involved in a tragic and fatal car accident. Unfortunately, my mother passed away on the scene, may she continue to rest in eternal peace. Mercifully, the paramedics were able to resacitate me and I was further placed in an induced coma for nearly a month.

When I finally regained consciousness, I had no idea where I was or why I was there. I spent another month in the hospital, gradually learning the full story. The news of my mother’s passing was, and still is, incredibly difficult to accept. Yet, because my family and I know she gave her very best to us, we have found the strength to move forward together.

I’ve come to understand that it is easier to find peace in letting go of someone who has fulfilled their purpose on this earth. Throughout this journey, God has been our greatest source of comfort and strength. My recovery has been nothing short of miraculous, a testament to God’s healing power. It’s almost unbelievable that when I awoke from my coma I was unable to walk or talk.

One scripture became especially real to me during this time:

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Mark 11:24 (NLT)

I am deeply grateful to everyone who stood in prayer for my life and recovery. Your prayers were heard, and I am living proof that God answers them. Thank you, and may God bless you abundantly.

My greatest desire is for God to be glorified through my testimony, and I will continue to share it wherever I go. Thank you for reading.

Yours – but mine first,

I am definitely sharing your blog with a sister in the LORD who’s son woke from a coma in a similar state. Have you written a book yet about your journey back to health? Berrett- Koehler might be very interested in publishing it.
